cPanel prices for 2027: what resellers will pay, and the way out to Enhance
cPanel raises licence prices again on 16 December 2026: the 2027 list, the rise since 2019, and what moving a reseller business to Enhance changes.
cPanel’s 2027 prices take effect on 16 December 2026, for new orders and for every licence that renews on or after that day. It is the seventh increase since cPanel moved to per-account pricing in 2019, and for a reseller the arithmetic is simple: the licence is the part of your host’s cost that nobody at your host controls, and it is going up again.
inSave sells reseller hosting on Enhance, so we have a stake in this comparison. Every cPanel and Enhance figure below comes from their own published price lists, with the date we read them.
Here is what changes, what has already changed since 2019, and what the alternatives cost.
The 2027 list
All prices are per server per month, as cPanel publishes them for cloud and VPS servers, without VAT.
| Tier | Accounts | 2026 | From 16 Dec 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 1 | $29.99 | $32.99 | +10.0% |
| Admin | up to 5 | $35.99 | $38.99 | +8.3% |
| Pro | up to 30 | $53.99 | $58.99 | +9.3% |
| Premier | up to 100 | $69.99 | $76.99 | +10.0% |
| Each account above 100 | — | $0.49 | $0.55 | +12.2% |
One line in cPanel’s own pricing matters more to resellers than any tier: “WHM reseller accounts are included as an account.” Every client you host is an account on your host’s licence, so the per-account price is the one that scales with your business.
A server with 300 accounts on Premier paid $167.99 a month for the licence in 2026. From December it pays $186.99, before a single CPU, disk or engineer.
Since 2019
cPanel moved from per-server to per-account pricing in mid-2019, and the one-account Solo tier followed later that year. Since then the list has gone up seven times — in 2020 it stood still, every other year it rose:
| From | Solo | Admin | Pro | Premier | Per account above 100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2019 | $15.00 | $20.00 | $30.00 | $45.00 | $0.20 |
| Jan 2021 | $15.00 | $22.00 | $32.25 | $48.50 | $0.30 |
| Jan 2022 | $15.99 | $24.99 | $35.99 | $53.99 | $0.34 |
| Dec 2022 | $15.99 | $27.99 | $39.99 | $59.99 | $0.39 |
| Dec 2023 | $17.49 | $29.99 | $42.99 | $60.99 | $0.40 |
| 2025 | $26.99 | $32.99 | $46.99 | $65.99 | $0.45 |
| 2026 | $29.99 | $35.99 | $53.99 | $69.99 | $0.49 |
| Dec 2026 | $32.99 | $38.99 | $58.99 | $76.99 | $0.55 |
Solo has more than doubled (+120%), Admin and Pro have nearly doubled, Premier is up 71%, and the price of each account above 100 is up 175%.
What it means if you resell on someone else’s cPanel
Your reseller plan is your host’s licence plus your host’s margin. When the licence goes up, the host has three choices: raise your price, squeeze something else — support, hardware, backups — or stop selling cPanel reseller plans.
The third one is no longer hypothetical. Hostinger stopped renewing its cPanel Reseller plans on 1 October 2026 and shuts them down on 1 October 2027. The replacement it recommends is its own Agency Hosting. We compared what that replacement does and does not do for a reseller in Hostinger reseller alternative.
The three ways out
1. Stay on a host’s cPanel and budget for the rise. Nothing changes for your clients. Your price does, every December, by whatever your host passes on.
2. Run cPanel on your own VPS. You pay the licence directly and keep WHM. In 2027 that is $38.99 a month for Admin’s five accounts or $58.99 for Pro’s thirty, on top of the server — and the server, its updates, its backups and its 3 a.m. incidents become yours.
3. Move to a panel priced differently. Enhance charges per hosted website rather than per account and per server: $0.15 a website a month for the first 5,000, with a $10 minimum bill, on as many servers as you run in one cluster. Three hundred websites cost $45 a month in licences, against $186.99 on one cPanel Premier server in 2027. The units are not identical — cPanel counts accounts, Enhance counts websites, and addon domains, subdomains and staging copies are not billed — but the order of magnitude is the point.
What you trade for that is the panel itself. Enhance does not look like cPanel, your clients will notice, and some cPanel-specific habits do not carry over. We wrote down exactly what changes, client-side and reseller-side, in Moving from cPanel to Enhance: what changes for you. Read it before you decide; it is the honest half of this argument.
Before you move
- Count accounts, websites and mailboxes on your current plan. You will need all three to compare plans fairly.
- Note the next renewal date of your reseller plan and of any licence you hold yourself. December renewals get the 2027 price.
- Ask your clients what they log in for. If the answer is email and a file manager, a panel change is a one-page note. If they live in cPanel daily, plan a short walkthrough.
- Do not cancel anything first. Keep the old plan running until every site has been checked on its new address.
If you move to inSave. Our reseller hosting runs on a white-label Enhance panel, with MySQL and PostgreSQL on every plan and NVMe storage, in EU-Central, US-East or US-West. We move every client account free, from any panel, and switch the DNS when you have checked each site. Reseller plans renew at the price you sign up at, with a 90-day money-back guarantee on your first order as long as fewer than 20% of the plan’s client accounts have been created. Moving from another reseller host? How we compare with Namecheap.
